“To inspire and provide training for individuals with
Down syndrome who have inherent aptitude for the performing arts.”
Company d focuses to enrich and heighten the dancers’ artistic growth and their cultural literacy by presenting age appropriate material within various social levels. Structuring classes to facilitate cognitive, social and personal growth for each dancer, Company d aims to provide a rich knowledge of classical techniques along with the ability to adapt to all styles and techniques of dance.
Company d members develop physically, cognitively and socially, not only learning dance techniques but also developing cultural awareness, communication skills and social maturity. Furthermore, Company d involves professional teaching artists in the areas of visual arts, theatre and music to broaden the arts education component. In turn, these relationships provide a connection with the artists, fosters inclusion and creates an awareness within a community of the dancer’s inherent abilities.Learn More About Our Programs
